Each semester, the Digital Writing Studio works with student interns who have a solid foundation in Writing and Rhetoric, and some expertise writing with digital, multimedia platforms. The DWS is a media lab meant to support digital writing projects, and interns will learn and apply rhetorical concepts to multimedia texts like websites, ePortfolios, presentations, blogs, wikis, posters, photo essays, and more. Both students and faculty in the English Department work with the Digital Writing Studio to support their multimedia work.
Plans for Summer 2024 interns include preparing and conducting workshops for class visits; using and maintaining audio-visual recording equipment and software; and working with students on their digital and multimodal writing.
